Jake, an agriculturist-turned-landscape architect, integrates systems thinking and design thinking to address complex social, economic, and environmental challenges. With a focus on placemaking, sustainability, and creating healthy communities, Jake ensures every project is people-centric, future-focused, and enhances both quality of life and property value.
Jake’s passion for nature and design began at his family’s greenhouse near Madison, Wisconsin, where he developed a deep connection to the land and a desire to cultivate thriving environments. This passion led him to Texas, where he worked for multiple renown landscape firms, gaining experience on a diverse range of projects across the globe. Motivated by these experiences, Jake established CultivateLAND to reshape public spaces, focusing on unlocking their full potential to serve communities and enhance urban fabric.
Jake’s ability to balance systems thinking with design thinking, coupled with his collaborative approach, empowers him to reimagine public spaces, turning them into high-quality environments that reflect the needs of both users and clients. His goal is to help communities grow to their full potential by transforming spaces into places people love.
